Miscellany Monday

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and for all you mothers, a happy mother's day.  My weekend flew by.  I had my glucose test on Friday, followed by a busy day at work.  I was wiped by the time I got home.  Saturday, I read most of the day and worked on some embroidery orders while hubs golfed.  Then on Sunday, hubs and I had breakfast at Starbucks, relaxed at home and then my family came over for a mother's day dinner.  I spent the rest of the night working on baby shower gifts for this weekend and catching up on my Bravo shows.  Now onto a little miscellany Monday...

I started reading The Hunger Games (book 1) on Friday and finished it on Sunday.  Now I can see what all the hype it about.  I loved it and can't wait to read the second book.  Hubs is reading it now too so that we can go see the movie together.

I'm pumped about the TV that is on this week.  The Next Food Network Star started last night, The Bachelorette is on tonight, and Pregnant in Heels on Tuesday.  Those plus my normal reality shows makes for a very happy girl!

After today, there are only 18 more wakeups for this school year.  It's a little stressful because I only have 18 days to pack up my entire classroom.  But, I'm ready for the end of the year to be here.  This is the perfect class to go out on and I can't wait to be home with my baby girl next year.

Speaking of my class, on Friday they threw me a surprise shower.  It was so sweet and my students were so excited.  Avery was spoiled rotten, I think her wardrobe doubled this week.  It was the perfect end to Teacher Appreciation Week.

Last night, I made Kit Kat Brownies.  My favorite candy is Kit Kat.  I've seen tons of recipes on Pinterest with candy and brownie mix.  So, I decided to give it a try.  And the result was....a 10! They were absolutely delicious.  I had 3 over 4 hours and am looking forward to having one for dessert this week.

That's about all I have today.  I'll be back tomorrow with my weekly bumpdate!
