5 on Friday

Have you ever had one of those days where you have a to do list a mile long and the best of intentions (and motivation) to get everything done?

And then not one thing goes as planned.

Well friends, that has been my week.

I've started each day on the right foot.
Ready to conquer my 2014 organizing and clean out list.

Which didn't happen.

Needless to say, I'm not sad to see this week go.  I'm ready {and hoping} for a very productive weekend. Doing all things one wants to do in the beginning of the year.   Lots of cleaning, decluttering, a trip to good will…oh and FINALLY taking down our Christmas tree.  Yes, it's still up. Don't judge.

This weekend WILL be productive. Mark my words ;)

Now onto Five on Friday.

I am love with this computer wallpaper. I downloaded it last week from my friend, Ashlee Proffitt's blog.  If you haven't read her blog and her story, take the time to do so.  Ashlee was my neighbor back in FL. She is an amazing woman, such an inspiration.

The biggest wrench in my plans was the gym.  I usually go three days a week. This week I didn't go once, not once. No quite the way I hoped to start the year.  The first two days of the week were frigid, I wasn't about to take AG out in the 8am, 18 degree weather.  I figured I would make it up at the end of the week.  Ha.  That didn't happen thanks to a bug AG caught over the weekend.  Thankfully we caught it right away and went to the DR to get some medicine.  It never got worse but I still had a sickling at home, which is never fun.  I did manage to do  P90X workouts and I tried this workout below.  I burned 180 calories in 20 minutes, not too bad!  I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to the gym next week.

I've enjoyed my first week doing Mommy School with AG.  We started the farm unit (that I will be posting on Monday) this past week.  I've set time aside each afternoon for the lessons.  AG has already learned a lot since Monday, I can't wait to see her grow in the weeks to come.  Don't forget to follow me on IG to see the units in action throughout the week.

We Floridians aren't used to dressing for cold weather.  I bought this puffer jacket for AG for $8 before Christmas.  I finally put it on her last week.  She fell over three times when I put it on.  No joke.  It was hilarious.  She did get used to it after a few minutes.  Thankfully she didn't have to keep it on long.
Seriously though, how cute is she in it?!?

I came across this on Pinterest this week.  It put a smile on my face.
They say you have a choice, live it or let it pass you by.
How do you choose to live it in 2014?

Thinking of you as I just found yet another box of Christmas items I need to take to storage! Babies in big winter coats is one of my favorite things...such sweet little penguins! Is it a crying shame that after teaching preschool all morning I don't want to do anything school related with my little man? (I do fit it in though...not a totally bad mom...) Happy weekending!

I have started mommy school with Caleb too. Next week is farms for us! Just to let you know Dr. Seuss's birthday is March 2. We are doing a goofy week around that!

You're on top of mommy school for sure! I love those animals on a stick. So cute. Looking forward to reading about your lesson. Our week has sucked too, can't wait for things to get back to normal!
